Alberta Indigenous Community Energy Program and Alberta Indigenous Solar Program are 2 new funding steams available to Indigenous communities to take part in climate change mitigation. The Community Energy Program will provide up to $90,000 (100% project funding) to assess the efficiency of existing buildings, make decisions on building retrofits and assess energy and cost savings if retrofits are completed. The Solar Program provides a maximum of $200,ooo (60% of project cost) to install solar panels on community buildings. Read more about these programs here…
